The European Association for Centres of Medical Ethics (EACME), Oxford

The European Association for Centres of Medical Ethics (EACME), based at the University of Maastricht required a refreshed identity and new website.

Rebranding EACME

Working through their associate member, ETHOX at the University of Oxford we developed a fresh, confident rebrand retaining the existing map of Europe and dark green colouring from their original logo. By adding a lime green we lifted the logo and achieved a much more contemporary and outward looking identity for the world renowned organisation.

The original EACME website was built in 2010, which in web terms seems like a lifetime ago. They recognised that the technology was outdated and the functionality was too limited for an organisation that is cutting edge in their own field. We built a practical, engaging WordPress site that not only presented a positive and modern vision of the organisation but was easy to update in-house by the Executive Secretary based in the Netherlands.

A password protected area enabled the members of EACME to access updates, research and general information that was not permitted for public access. The members area also included a forum which was especially welcomed by post graduate students associated with the centre members to share their research and gather feedback from some of the leading academics within medical ethics internationally.
